Piper and Briss: The creative force behind the musical collaboration "Shakalaka" met in L.A , summer 2002.Originally from kingston Jamaica, Piper migrated with his family to the UK when he was 10 . By the age of sixteen Piper was already a popular figure Toasting at many sound systems on the London Club scene. Piper is The true " ORIGINAL TOASTER".

The first Shakalaka release is a perfect blend of Piper's and Briss's Musical influences, coming from all african roots and conscious lyrics.we wanted to give a new feel to what toasting usually might sound like and try to get all kind of different vibes from Zouk to African beats Mixed with RnB, house, reggae or Arabic Influence.
